GE/Hotpoint Dryer Making Strange Noises
Noises can be coming from a few sources. The rear bearing usually makes a high pitch squeal when it needs to be replaced. Sometimes the front bearing a.k.a. glides are worn down and need to be replaced. Other times noises can be coming from a belt with divots on the under side. The idler pulley can sometimes get a little stiff. Lastly, the motor or a slightly cracked blower wheel can make noise.
